What We Do
Norwegian Lutheran Mission Mongolia (NLM-M) is a Norwegian development organization that has worked in Mongolia since 1994, focusing today on Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii provinces in the country’s west. Our current work centers on inclusion and opportunity for children with disabilities, community recreation, and civil society capacity-building — delivered in partnership with local government, Mongolian civil society organizations, and international donors.

Grandhagen Activity Park
Free, supervised recreation parks for children and families in Khovd and Ulgii. Ongoing since 2021.

Strengthening Civil Society Cooperation
Building capacity of local organizations serving children with disabilities. Ongoing, 2025–2026.

Inclusive Pre- and Primary Education
A new inclusive education initiative for children with disabilities. Planned, 2027–2031.

NLM Mongolia Holds All-Staff Retreat in Bayan-Ölgii
From September 8–11, 2026, Norwegian Lutheran Mission Mongolia (NLM-M) held an all-staff retreat at Tolbo Lake in Bayan-Ölgii Province, bringing together staff from the Khovd, Ulaanbaatar, and Bayan-Ölgii offices for a shared program of training, team meetings, sports, and a group photo in national dress.
